Guthrie CAD/GIS was founded in 1995 by Paul Guthrie after 10 years industry experience in CAD software development. In June 2003 Guthrie CAD/GIS Software Pty Ltd was registered as a private company. We produce quality custom and ready-made software in the areas of CAD and GIS.

In 2008 the company located to Gumeracha (population 440) in the Adelaide Hills, about 45 minutes drive from the city of Adelaide. Adelaide, with a population nearing 1.2 million is the fith largest city in Australia, and is the capital city of the state of South Australia.  The Kaurna (pronounced 'Garna') aboriginal people are the original inhabitants of the Adelaide Hills and Adelaide Plains regions.
